Styling It Out in Marrakech

If you want to look stylish and appropriate in Marrakech there are lots of choices both expensive Moroccan-Parisienne or local savvy.

I love browsing around Rue Dar El Bacha for this kind of thing. I’ll write about more places that I find, but today’s finds were: Goed Cut, set up by Jac & Marcel and very Notting Hill in theme featuring floaty boho dresses and  lacy white shirts, all priced in Euro’s at similar prices to the High Street at home. Or try  Max & Jan a French designer clothing and lifestyle concept store with chic Kaftans and long dresses perfect for brushing across the cool tiles of a stylish Riad or elegantly adorning a terrace for dinner.

If you want the local option – go to a tailor, I am trying a couturier I found to transform a very old and beautiful Sari fabric left by my Great Aunt to us into something fitting of the gift. And I’ve enough material to make something nice for my Mum too. I bought a gorgeous shirt from the same tailor for £18, – pea green with hand embroidered buttons, long at the back and standard shirt length at the front – I’ll post a pic on Instagram.

It takes a while to find these nice places beyond the standard fair of the Souks, there is a lot of inspiration here and because its warm you can dare to wear colour and look cool.

I’ll post more fashion and design finds when I come across them.
